The Cascade Band is known for its excellence in musicality and marching on the field, but it’s much more than just a field show. The Cascade Band participates in several concert ensembles throughout the school year giving the students a well-rounded musical experience in their high school career.

Concert Band

Our concert band kicks into gear immediately following marching season with a host of ensembles and concerts. The band performs both a winter concert in December and a spring concert in May.

The band also participates in MTSBOA’s Concert Performance Assessment at MTSU in the spring. They are rated on both prepared pieces and sight reading. They have received Superior ratings consistently.

Jazz Band

The Jazz Band is a fun and casual, optional ensemble where students can really let loose. It is open to our 7th and 8th grade middle school students as well. The band performs a mix of genres including blues, swing, R&B, funk, rock, ballads, and many more. Rehearsals are in the spring semester culminating with a special concert in April. The Jazz Dinner and Concert features a silent auction each year that is one of the band’s biggest fundraisers.

Other Ensembles

In addition to school concert bands, students have the opportunity to be rated on their own prepared solo and ensembles, as well as audition for and perform with honor bands across the mid-state. Each year we have students that are chosen for these prestigious honor bands and we are so proud of them.
